Elijah said to Elisha, "Stay here; the LORD has sent me to Bethel." But Elisha said, "As surely as the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you." So they went down to Bethel.

The men of the city said to Elisha, "Look, our lord, this town is well situated, as you can see, but the water is bad and the land is unproductive."
 
 
20 엘리사가 이르되 새 그릇에 소금을 담아 내게로 가져오라 하매 곧 가져온지라
"Bring me a new bowl," he said, "and put salt in it." So they brought it to him.
 
 
21 엘리사가 물 근원으로 나아가서 소금을 그 가운데에 던지며 이르되 여호와의 말씀이 내가 이 물을 고쳤으니 이로부터 다시는 죽음이나 열매 맺지 못함이 없을지니라 하셨느니라 하니
Then he went out to the spring and threw the salt into it, saying, "This is what the LORD says: 'I have healed this water. Never again will it cause death or make the land unproductive.' "
 
 
22 그 물이 엘리사가 한 말과 같이 고쳐져서 오늘에 이르렀더라
